Dr. Wood (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in treating OCD and anxiety disorders. She primarily uses exposure therapies and integrates elements of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She is also able to address co-occurring problems such as depression and body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs). While she treats all presentations of OCD, Dr. Wood has a special interest in scrupulosity and the intersection of faith and OCD. Dr. Wood meets her clients where they are at while supporting them in taking a leap of faith into living the life they want to live!

Dr. Wood has training and experience in providing clinical supervision to individuals of different training levels, including Bachelor’s level, Master’s level, and PhD students.

What People Are Saying

Treatment That Works.

At Leap Counseling, science meets empathy and compassion. I am committed to providing the best possible treatment.

Mental health treatment works best when it is guided by solid science, not guesswork or trends. Research helps us understand what actually helps people feel better, what doesn’t, and why.

Using evidence-based practices doesn’t mean therapy is rigid or impersonal. It means starting with methods that are proven to help, and then tailoring them to your goals, values, and lived experience.

  • I use a cognitive-behavioral approach to treatment. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is supported by decades of research. For OCD, I primarily use exposure and response prevention (ERP), the first-line treatment. I also use exposure therapy for other anxiety disorders.

Other CBT-based treatment modalities may include:

    • Cognitive restructuring for depression

    • Behavioral activation for depression

    • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

    • Comprehensive Behavioral (ComB) Treatment for body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs)

  • My primary specialty is OCD and anxiety, and I can treat common co-occurring disorders or problems. I offer individual therapy services for:

    • OCD

    • Social Anxiety Disorder

    • Panic Disorder

    • Agoraphobia

    • Phobias

    • Generalized Anxiety Disorder

    • Major Depressive Disorder

    • Body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs)

  • I work with adults 18+ for individual therapy. Individuals with primary diagnosis of OCD or an anxiety disorder are typically a good fit. If you think you may be struggling with OCD or anxiety, please reach out for a free consultation with Dr. Wood.

Since Leap Counseling is fully virtual, clients must have access to a secure internet connection and a device with a camera, speaker, and microphone for video sessions.

  • I am committed to providing affirming, inclusive care. Therapy is a space where a person’s identities should be respected and valued.

Although the work toward cultural competence is never done, I am committed to ongoing learning, self-reflection, and listening. My goal is to offer care that honors your whole self and meets you with respect, curiosity, and compassion.
